There are several key items that need to be verified in order for the system to work the way you desire it to. The system requirements are as follows:
Pop-Up Blockers
Please verify that you allow pop-ups when accessing our site. All reports open up in a window that is technically a pop-up. There are several different tools used for this, Google, MSN, Yahoo, Fire-Fox and Windows XP / Internet Explorer all have pop-up blockers. For Google, MSN & Yahoo, there is an icon on your toolbar that allows for the blocker to be turned off on sites that you visit. For Internet Explorer & Fire-Fox, the pop-up blocker is controlled in the “Tools” menu at the top of your browser. Temporary Internet Files
When working on a project web site, cad files, sketches and documents all download to your machine. There is a setting in your control panel for “Internet Options” that allow you to reserve space for the browser based actions. Please verify that you allow at least 300 MB for temp space. This will keep your machine running quicker on the web and will guarantee documents will open more efficiently.
Automatic Form Filler
Our system enables you to enter data in very efficiently. When address an item of correspondence, you need only start typing the persons last name, at which a drop down appears with the team list to select from. You may need to disable auto form filling on some systems or browser settings to keep them from interfering with the type ahead control.
Internet Explorer 7or Vista OS
Internet Explorer 7 has new features that verify all web sites are not trying to steal your personal information. This is called a “Phishing Filter”. PlansandSpecs will run on IE 7, but you will achieve better performance if you add *.plansandspecs.com to “Trusted Sites”. This setting will turn down the Phishing Filter to low and will greatly speed up the web site and your access.
Adobe Acrobat
All Reporting and printing from the site is created using Crystal Reports and generates a pdf. You will need to have Acrobat Reader installed on your machine to utilize printing for action items or reports.
System Generated Email – Check you Spam Box or Filter
PlansandSpecs tools will generate an email whenever an item is transmitted or sent. The “To” party or anyone cc’d to the item will receive a notification. All PlansandSpecs emails for system-wide notifications from the same address: support@stratusvue.com
